The Christmas Season has Begun

December 1, 2017

Our tree is up and the house is almost done being decorated.  I'll be real honest.  This year it just feels like a chore to decorate for Christmas.  There is stuff every where.  I'm trying to figure out what to keep Milam away from.  I'm not putting up everything and it still feels overwhelming with a crazy one year old.  He says "ball" and "lights" every five seconds.  I've never seen a child more excited about Christmas time.  It is so sweet and endearing but so frustrating at the same time.
This week at school they have been talking about careers and college.  We dressed up as a missionary for career day and handed out Bibles at recess.  Wore animal print.  Wore a hat. Wore crazy socks. AND, wore a college shirt.  Its been a week being right after Thanksgiving break.
Georgia can give herself a lot of anxiety about trying new things.  She's had the skill set to do a back bend for MONTHS but was too scared to actually do it.  I told her I would buy her a Polly Pocket if she did it (parenting fail) and she did it, totally nailed it, first try.  She literally agonizes over new things and then once she accomplishes it she becomes obsessed with the new skill.  Anyway, she was pumped to get it in the mail.
And then she got another because I'm a sucker
Reading before bed...she's such a good little reader.  She amazes me.
Then there is this one.  He's as happy as can be and we got a good solid week of 12 hours of sleep again at night after his 8th tooth came in (and thanks to sleep to wake) but now his first molar is coming through and he's shaved an hour off at nap and another hour off at night.  Still happy but momma likes to sleep.
We went to the Christmas tree lighting in Downtown Conroe.
I finally remembered to get her charms put on her charm bracelet.
Tonight we get to open the first delicious chocolate advent door!
Happy December First!
